DESCRIPTION - summary of the module content
This module will provide you with a comprehensive and practical understanding of the range of impacts that mining may have on society and the environment. This will cover the concept of mining and sustainability; responses of government, industry and private firms to the sustainability agenda and environmental and social management in mining (including water, waste, acid and metalliferous drainage, and biodiversity conservation, human rights and community development and engagement).
