DESCRIPTION - summary of the module content

This module will give you a fundamental knowledge of core engineering principals covering materials and mechanics, fluid and thermodynamics and electronics, which provide a foundation for further applied study in these areas further in the course. This module will also provide the basic mathematical skills necessary for an applied engineering programme with particular focus on the direct application to mining problems. Furthermore, you will learn to use programming as a means to model and solve engineering problems.
